Leah Holliday

Leah Holliday has been teaching acro and dance for over 25 years. She was born and raised in Regina, SK and studied dance and baton twirling at the Martin School of Dance and Baton Twirling. Leah trained in all disciplines of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and acro. Leah completed her Advanced Tap and Jazz exams through the CDTA and ADAPT syllabi. She also completed RAD Level 8 and Intermediate 2 ballet exams. Not only was Leah known as a well accomplished dancer but she represented Canada in Baton Twirling at 10 consecutive World Championships as a soloist and a team member. Leah was especially honoured to become the 1999 World Baton Twirling Champion in the Pairs event, achieving the highest award of a World Gold Medal. Leah was also highlighted as a feature baton twirler in the 2001 Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show.
Leah has spent many years honing her teaching craft. She has travelled to countries such as Scotland and Ireland to train and choreograph for world level baton twirling athletes. Leah settled in High River, AB in 2010 with her family. She has spent the last 12 years developing and building a strong local Acro program from the ground up. She has received many awards and accolades for her Acro choreography. Leah currently teaches Acrobatic Arts Master Classes in Calgary and guest instructs at studios around Alberta.
Leah holds a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and a Diploma in Communication Arts (Print Journalism). She is also a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CEP). Leah is the Acrobatic Arts Assistant to Principal, working closely with the Principal to ensure quality assurance of exams and courses. Leah is fully certified in Acrobatic Arts Modules 1, 2 and 3. She is an Acrobatic Arts Course Conductor, Examiner, and Master Teacher. Leah also works by day as a
Rehabilitation Consultant with Sun Life Financial.
Leah is extremely passionate about sharing her love of AcroDance and ensuring dancers are developing solid foundations through safe, proper technique and correct body mechanics. She looks forward to continue sharing her knowledge and love of dance!
