Robeaux, Shantel

Shantel Robeaux is the owner and director of Shantel’s Dance Academy in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Her love for dance was apparent from a very early age, and is still the driving force in sharing her knowledge with students and teachers across the country. Dancing since the age of 2, she has trained in all styles of dance. Shantel has directed several programs for recreation departments, and with a desire to impact more lives, she launched her own studio. founded in 1999.

Prior to opening her school, she attended college with a major in education and is a member of Dance Masters of America (DMA) and Louisiana Dance Masters of America (LADM). DMA & LADM are nationally known non-profit educational organizations offering continuing education. She received her certification to teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Acrobatics by passing a written and practical examination in each subject. She is also a member of the International Dance Entrepreneurs Association (I.D.E.A.) and is a member of Rhee Gold’s Gold Alliance, a leadership program for studio owners, where she has trained in leadership, business and personal growth.

She is an entrepreneur in every sense of the word, having owned a photography studio, a lawn care business, a florist shop, as well as her studio. Her skills managing employees, marketing, creating systems and procedures have helped to make Shantel as a knowledgeable speaker who is always willing to share with teachers and studio owners.
