Register for our Soul Showcase
We’re bringing something special to night one of Soul — introducing the Soul Showcase, a non-competitive performance opportunity designed to uplift, celebrate, and educate dancers in a supportive environment.
Dancers registered for Soul are invited to take the stage with a solo, duet, trio, or group routine (up to 20 dancers) and receive LIVE FEEDBACK from Soul Faculty! Immediately following each performance, faculty will offer a live critique to help dancers grow and gain real-world insight.
This is not a competition — there are no placements or winners. It’s all about celebrating the joy of performance, sharing your artistry with others, and learning from one of the best in the industry!
- Limited to 60 performances
- All performers must be registered for Soul
- Solos, duets, trios, and small groups welcome
Through The Lens – Dance Film Workshop
Directed by Marisa & Carlos Garland of DanceLook
Step into the world where dance and filmmaking meet. This immersive Dance Film Workshop guides participants through the creative process of learning and performing choreography specifically crafted for the camera. Dancers will explore movement designed for cinematic angles, develop skills in on-screen performance, spacing, storytelling, and transitions, and gain insight into how choreography shifts when viewed through a lens rather than on a stage.
Throughout the workshop, students build confidence in both technique and artistry while collaborating in a professional, film-style environment. The experience culminates in the creation of a final, high-quality video piece.
This workshop takes place following the Soul Dancer Conference, July 31–August 1, and is reserved for Soul attendees age 12+.
- July 31: 10am-4pm
- August 1: 9am–3pm
Cost: $200
Limited spots available.
