A theme with no limits! Everything American will work. Start your show with the audience rising for the National Anthem and then open the curtain with a car riding across the country on Route 66. (The car can be used to bring on each group of dancers.) The numbers can cover historical landmarks and landmark cities, sports, famous Americans, typically “American” music, state fairs, and so much more.

Other ideas

Hand everyone in the audience a small U.S. flag or maybe a flag sticker that they can wear for the show – they’ll all wave those flags when you play Proud To Be An American, for sure! • do a military-themed number to honor U.S. troops • your program could be printed on a parchment paper like the Declaration of Independence • at the finale, have each dancer with a red, white (stars), or blue piece of cardboard that builds an American flag by the time the finale is finished.
