Programs offered: The Teachers Course includes the Cecchetti syllabi, certification training which encompasses: basic components that make up the individual steps—how to break them down, build them up, and how to teach them in the most efficient and progressive way. Teachers learn how to select music and use imagery that will enhance the qualities they are looking for and that will inspire the students to perform with technical accuracy, musicality, and artistry. Guest teachers from professional companies are on faculty. (Summer school includes classes for students.) It is open to all teachers and to students who are of at least a Cecchetti Grade 4 level or equivalent. Young teachers should be recommended by their teachers and should have advanced ballet experience.

That teaching dance is based on correct anatomical use of the body in the fundamentals of each subject, coupled with knowledge of music to build and strengthen their abilities to be better teachers who instill not only discipline, but the love of dance as an art form, whether the student is planning a career in dance or does it for recreational purposes.
